- For the class, see Rune Caster.
Runes are used to make weapons, armor, and helmets stronger. As of Grand Chase: Chaos, the entire Rune upgrading system has been replaced by the Reinforcement System.
A rune can be created by obtaining a Rune Book and gathering certain materials and Chaos Orbs. Runes can also be acquired from Forge or from certain Missions. Each rune comes in two versions: old and normal.
The old runes are colored in a darker shade than the normal runes and less detailed. Each rune is color coded according to what character can be equipped with that specific rune.
Using Aging Cores, players can reinforce these runes to increase their level thus making the player even stronger. When reinforcing these runes players have the option of using a Reinforcement Booster to increase the success rate percentage by 5%, 10%, or 15% for upgrading the rune.
The maximum level of runes vary by type. Old Runes can go up to 9, while Normal Runes go up to 99 (in-game states unlimited, which has been proven false).
From levels 0-2, Runes work at a 100% rate.
From 3-5, Runes will degrade once if failed.
At 6-8, Runes will drop to 0 if failure.
Lastly, from 9-99, runes will be destroyed if failed, and must be replaced.
Old Brave RunesEdit
Old Holy RunesEdit
Old Honor RunesEdit
- Strangely, only the old Honor Runes could be bought in the shop, and not any other Runes.
