I am Gaia who rules over the land... I am the land...

— Gaia

Lady Gaia is the Goddess of Life and Death from Xenia that was encountered in the Forest of Life and held the Orb of Life. Her attributes also include Nature.

Background[]

Gaia was one of the native guardians that had existed in Xenia since time immemorial who took a fragment of the shattered Soul Stone and became a god. She seemingly has an intimate relationship with the God of Destruction, Lord Perseo, and was rumored that he made incredibly durable accessories from an unidentifiable mineral for her whom he loves.

Story[]

Temple of Destruction[]

Gaia attempted to seal her powers away by merging herself with her tree, Rukkha. However, that failed when Thanatos corrupted it. The tree and the goddess began to connect even more, and Perseo feared this. He immediately dispatched the Grand Chase to her forest to free her.

Forest of Life[]

After getting saved, Gaia granted the Grand Chase the Orb of Life and wished them luck against the epic battle with the Ascendant God.

In the sequel[]

Gaia was mentioned in EP 2: Disappeared Words of Amy's Likability.

Vadil in Grand Chase: The Cellular Game.

  • Despite appearing in the dialogues, Gaia does not have an in-game model and thus is not shown in the actual game itself.
  • Gaia has an alternate concept design that was used in the Brazilian server and had also appeared in Grand Chase 2.
    • Oddly enough, however, the same artwork was previously used for the character Vadil in Grand Chase: The Cellular Game and it matched her counterpart in the manhwa.
  • Gaia along with Starkiln are the only deities that did not have a personal soundtrack.
    • In Gaia's case, it is because she has never been fought.
  • It was heavily implied that Gaia and Perseo are a couple. Elesis also tried to ask Gaia about this, but she quickly dropped the subject.
    • According to information published in the official Naver blog of KOG, Gaia would lose her life sometime in the future and Perseo was willing to sell his soul just to revive her.
  • Gaia was named after the eponymous goddess personifying the Earth in Greek mythology.
